Semen is the reproductive fluid that a male ejaculates through the urethra and out the end of the penis. Semen, also sometimes referred to as ejaculate, is produced in the gonads and is made up mainly of amino acids, enzymes, fructose, and sperm.
Sperm is the male reproductive cell. When it combines with a female egg, it causes pregnancy in women. To avoid unwanted pregnancies, couples can use several forms of birth control, including condoms, spermicides, and oral contraceptives.
More About Semen
Alfred Kinsey conducted an experiment to measure the distance and force of a man’s ejaculation and found that in most cases, semen was propelled a matter of inches. However, one man in the study managed to hit the eight-foot mark. Up to two teaspoons of fluid is ejaculated on average.
While some women don’t mind the taste of semen, others find it distasteful or even repulsive. Certain other factors may also affect the taste of semen including a man’s diet. Men who want to make their semen taste better can eat certain foods like celery, cinnamon and fruits like blueberries and strawberries.
