refers to the synthetic version of progestogens, which is
progesterone intended for medical use. Progestin is used in the
treatment of several health conditions, such as menstrual problems,
breast cancer, uterine cancer, endometriosis, and AIDS-caused appetite
loss. It is also a key ingredient in birth control pills and is used
in hormone replacement therapy. Progestin is available only through prescription.

disorders, diabetes, depression, and more. It also causes side

requirement in the use of progestin.
