Infertility is the biological inability for either a man or woman to contribute to the conception of a child. A couple usually isn’t considered infertile unless they have been actively trying to conceive for a year without any success. From that point there are tests that can be done to pinpoint the problem and attempt to find a solution.
More About Infertility
Infertility in women can be caused by many different factors such as damage to the fallopian tubes, hormonal issues, and problems with the cervix or uterus. Some women are even born without any eggs.
Infertility in men can be caused by low sperm count, poor sperm quality, retrograde ejaculation, structural abnormalities, hormonal issues, and genetic disorders.
In both men and women, some cases of infertility are unexplained.
