Female-superior position is a sex position in which the female partner is on top. There are two main variations of this position. One lying down, like in the missionary position, and one in the straddling position.

The alternative version of this position is the female sits back more like the cowgirl position. In this position, the female is in control of the pace and the depth of penetration.
